OPPO’s Find X5 series launched as scheduled yesterday. The new lineup is now open for pre-orders worldwide, including the Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. Oppo has for the first time shared cameras with optics brand Hasselblad. And the MariSilicon X (Oppo’s home custom image processor) crunches all the numbers for these cameras.
At the heart of the Find, X5 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, integrated with Oppo’s ‘Imaging NPU’. The self-made 6nm processor promises a breakthrough in videography. The Find X5 camera can shoot in 4K Ultra Night, Ultra Dark, and Ultra HDR modes.
The camera system is a cluster of primary, 50MP Ultra Wide, and 13MP 2x telephoto lenses powered by 50MP OIS. Also, a 32MP front camera is far from the whole setup.
The front shooter is housed inside a minimal O-hole cutout in the display. Here, we see a 6.55 “10-bit LTPS AMOLED that can dynamically adjust its 120Hz refresh rate. As you would expect from a flagship display, it is punched, sharp, shiny, and vivid. In addition, the O1 UltraVision feature can enhance the resolution of your videos in some apps.
Prices for the Oppo phones in both handsets fall into the flagship category. The 4800 mAh battery inside the Oppo Finds X5 powers the Snapdragon 888.

But the design is similar to the standard Find X5. Available in Ceramic White and Glaze Black.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (the most powerful chip you’ll find in Android) is the engine inside the Find X5 Pro. Oppo also replaced the default NPU with its Marisilicon processor. But wired and wireless charging support is common to both Find X5 editions.
The Find X5 Pro rotates around the screen more aggressively. And the LTPO panel in it is more modern as it can take the refresh rate up to 10Hz. QHD + resolution is faster, and 1300 nits make it even brighter. But features like color depth, accuracy, and facets are no different.
In a similar vein, the Pro camera’s features and characteristics are more or less the same as the setup on Find X5. But the Find X5 Pro uses more advanced 5-axis image stabilization technology. It can stabilize both image sensor and lens for shake-free, clear images and videos.
A 3D graphene array keeps the phone cool. The Find X5, despite its flagship-level price, lacks any official interior protection rating, but the Find X5 Pro is rated IP68 against dust and water.
